微软曾证实，Surface Pro也可以运行Windows 8之外的操作系统，只要关掉BIOS中的“Secure Boot（安全启动）”即可。不久前，有国外用户就在Surface Pro上安装了苹果OS X 10.8（Mountain Lion），运行流畅。现在，又有人在Surface Pro上跑起了Android，同样没什么难度，只是Wi-Fi和蓝牙出了点问题没法使用。
